Frequently Asked Questions

Have more questions about our photography services? Feel free to reach out to us directly for further information and personalized assistance.

  • Living in a southern coastal town, we do get rain frequently, but luckily it usually passes through really quickly. Typically you can’t get an accurate weather report until  the day before. We will check to make sure our time slot is looking clear and okay. If it is not I am happy to move your shoot to another day/time that we both have open for no additional cost.

  • A whole lot of fun! Sessions with our team are very laid back and easygoing. We will help with as much posing as you want, so don’t feel like you need to do any research beforehand. We will walk you through what to do in each spot and it will be a lot of fun along the way, we promise!

  • You just sit right there! We are happy to help you decide on a great location - and even colors to wear that will look best there! We offer a location guide to all our clients. It includes some of our favorite spots and why. It also talks on the pros and cons of each spot. You, of course, are not limited to what's on there!

  • Taking the photos is the easy part, it’s the editing that really requires the most amount of time. We do not use any kind of filters or presets on our photos, we edit each and every image by hand. Typically for our standard hour sessions you can expect a turn-around time of about one to two weeks based on how busy we are that week.

  • Most of my sessions take place on the beach, since we are indeed a beach town! Beach sessions are my favorite but also have a few things to keep in mind. It may be windy - like really windy. Make sure anyone in your group with long hair plans ahead (hairspray is your BFF and so are bobby pins!). It may drizzle. Sometimes the beach gets rain when nowhere else in town does. I did not go to meteorology school so I can’t explain the weirdness of the world to you. There is a chance the beach may have a lot of people wandering around the back. I will do my absolute best to get us to a secluded spot, but I can never promise that. Yes, I can edit some folks out but sometimes we really have to work around this. Lastly, don’t wear heels to the beach - you'll be sad (I am telling you this because I have seen it more than once).

  • They are absolutely not! Your photos have no logo or signature on them at all!

  • My general go-to answer is neutrals and earth tones but this may change a bit based on where your session is and what time of year it is!

Family session: I recommend picking out the mamas outfit first and going from there. A mix of materials and pattern vs. plain always looks great! Please please please avoid the classic white top and jean bottoms, we are better than that!

Couple session: The key to some romantic couples photos is an outfit with movement. If you a have a dress wearing person in your photos, something that flows or has a little weight to it looks amazing for beach photos.

Remember, we do have a pop-up changer if you would like to do an outfit change on your session!
